Gite - Pets, Garden and Information
About Us
We are an English family, living and working in France, we have two daughters aged 7 and 10. We work from home so we are nearly always around if you need help or advice.
Situation
The Gite is situated within the garden of a large townhouse, it has its own in dependant access via a side gate with steps down into the garden so it is possible to come and go as you please.
As the Gite is situated in a bustling town there are roads on two sides of the house, however the main house shields the busiest of these roads, while the sunken garden prevents excessive noise from disturbing your holiday.
Accommodation
The Gite will sleep 6 people if the bed / settee in the living room is used, the Gite is an extremely comfortable size for 4 people. All rooms have french doors which open onto the garden area, the living room has double french doors.See Gite Plan.
Bed linen and towels are changed weekly (Saturdays) additional changes are possible for a small fee. Upon arrival you will find a basic welcome basket containing;
- Bread
- Butter
- Coffee
- Milk
- Sugar
All Cleaning products are available within the Gite and are free for your use, on departure we ask that you leave the gite in a good clean condition.
The Gite has a permenant Inernet Connection using Broadband ADSL, you will need a Laptop with an installed network card and some minor configuration changes to access the Internet from the Gite... more
Getting Around
There is so much to see in the area that it is probably best to Hire a Car for some / all of your stay, the mediterranean coast is just over 1 hour's drive, the lakes in Montage Noire are 20 min's from Mazamet. There are good train services to Toulouse and Castres, see Getting Here for more information. The town of Mazamet offers restaurants, shopping, bars along with pleasant walks and beautiful parks.
Garden
The Gite has its own private garden. We aim to keep the garden as quiet and as relaxing as possible, but please bear in mind we are in the centre of town. A barbecue and garden furniture are provided for your own use.
Pets
We may allow pets in the Gite, however this is only by prior arrangement. We have a dog ourselves. Please contact us if you require further information.
